Fedora 28 : LibreOffice remote connection.

I wrote a tutorial about the remote connection in LibreOffice, see this article.
The main problem with LibreOffice development is the changes.
Now the feature Open remote is not working.
The bug is officially recognized and represented, see the page.
They inform us, see comment 31:
John R Mead 2017-12-17 22:43:03 UTC Well, it still doesn't work with LibreOffice Version: 6.0.0.0.beta1 (x64); I'm not providing screenshots this time since it's identical in everyway to my previous attempts. At the end of all the copy/pasting between LibreOffice and my browser to get all the relevant permissions, when I finally make the attempt to connect, I get the same message: The specified device is invalid.

Current system configuration of potentially relevant software:

Windows 10 Professional (x64) Version 1709 (build 16299.125)
Java 9.0.1
Microsoft - OneDrive version 17.25.1.0 (x64)
LibreOffice Version: 6.0.0.0.beta1 (x64)

It's a common practice to see open-source software with bugs, most bugs are already available to users to avoid problems.
Most backup bugs are authentication and changes in development.

Fedora 27 : The LibreOffice the 6.0.2 and 5.4.6.2 versions.

The LibreOffice suite is a good choice for most linux users.
If you try to download the rpm file from the official website you will get the 6.0.2 version of this suite.
The Fedora 27 come with 5.4.6.2 version for this software.
Every announcement by the Document Foundation with updates contains many bug fixes and improvements and this repairs prevent Libreoffice crashes.
Maybe the new Fedora 28 will come with the last version of the LibreOffice version.

LibreOffice - fix JRE error.

The LibreOffice suite requires a Java runtime environment (JRE) to perform tasks.
If you see this message then is a error with your JRE:
 LibreOffice requires a Java runtime environment (JRE) to perform this task. The selected JRE is defective. Please select another version or install a new JRE and select it under Tools - Options - LibreOffice - Advanced.
You need to download the Java SE Runtime Environment.
Then open the LibreOffice and from top menu select: Tools - Options - LibreOffice - Advanced. Select now the folder with your JRE and press Ok button.
After I make this settings the message show me again. When I check the path is set I saw it is but the application need some time to find the JRE folder.
NOTE: If the message is show you again then restart operating system might solve your problem.

LibreOffice Viewer - tested.

I like LibreOffice because is opensource with a great team development.
Can be used with Windows and Linux.
Today I will told about the Android OS and LibreOffice.
LibreOffice is now available on Android as a native application with this formats:
• Open Document Format (odt, ods and odp);
• Microsoft Office 2007/2010/2013 (docx, xlsx and pptx);
• Microsoft Office 97/2000/XP/2003 (doc, xls and ppt).
Named LibreOffice Viewer comes with a first preview of the editing functionality and is sized to APK:48 MB / App installed:81 MB.
I think is need to improve this application with viewer for epub and some ebook document formats.
This will remove some applications.
Note: Microsoft Office come with 1GB of RAM and also can be used.

Tested the Libre Office software.

Today I tested Libre Office suite. The last version is 5.1.2.2 and has many features.
I like to used because I can export my work under Microsoft Office and also to open document.
You can download it from libreoffice official page.
This software can be used with many ope systems, like:
You have LibreOffice come with Impress, Calc , Writer, Math and Draw to deal with any type of issue.  I don't like for example the way to rename the macro. You need to go to : Tools -Macros -Organize Macros -LibreOffice Basic.. the Organizer button and finally double click to the name of the macros , rename and close. I think this come from permisions of the macros.
Also You can deal with macros what do you want. For example in this example I delete some fields from one document - one matrix make from A3 to B10.
  Dim myDoc As Object
  Dim mySheet As Object
  Dim myCell As Object
  Dim myRange As Object
  Dim myFlags As Long

  myDoc = ThisComponent
  mySheet = myDoc.Sheets(0) ' Refers to Sheet1 as in 0, 1, 2 etc
  myRange = mySheet.getCellRangeByName("A3:B10")

  myFlags = com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.VALUE + _
      com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.DATETIME + _
      com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.STRING + _
      com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.ANNOTATION + _
      com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.FORMULA + _
      com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.HARDATTR + _
      com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.STYLES + _
      com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.OBJECTS + _
      com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.EDITATTR

  myRange.clearContents(myFlags)
This is a simple type of macro using LibreOffice Basic language. You can also use Python , BeanShell, JavaScript.
